Huronia West OPP is searching for a missing pilot who took off from the Edenvale Aerodrome around 11:30 a.m. on Sun., Sept. 21.
The pilot, Lachlan MacLean, was flying a Highcraft Buccaneer SX ultra light aircraft, registration number C-IHHR.
Const. Mark Kinney says the man left the Clearview Township-based airport, located on Highway 26, just east of Sunnidale Corners, with the intention of flying to Beausoliel Island on Georgian Bay.
Once reaching the island, Kinney says, the man planned to return to the airport.
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call police at 429-3575 or at 1-888-310-1122.
