North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services helped make Christmas a wonderful day for 24 people including 15 children.

However, this would not have happened without the support of our community, and our volunteers and members of the Orillia OPP Detachment contributed gifts and food.

This was supplemented by a trunk load of presents from Casino Rama, turkeys donated by Dan Stoutt of ReMax and a grocery cart of food from National Grocers.

We were also most fortunate to be the recipient of the first Festive Grant offered by the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area.

Orillia is an amazing place in which to live. Our citizens are most generous and truly care about others. This was certainly evidenced by all those who supported us in our endeavours to help at Christmas time.
