The blues arrive in Orillia on June 6-7.
This year’s edition of the spring music festival boasts performers such as Matt Minglewood and Juno nominee Shakura S’Aida at numerous restaurants and bars, including an outdoor stage downtown.
Five bands will be showcased at the outdoor venue on the Saturday along Mississaga Street East, in the parking lot between Peter and Matchedash Streets. Wayne Buttery and the Groove Project are on stage at 2 p.m., followed by the Johnny Max Band at 4 p.m.
Blackburn takes the stage at 6 p.m., followed by Shakura S’Aida at 7:30 p.m. and then Minglewood at 9 p.m. A $10 fee permits access to all mainstage performances.
Indoor participants include Brewery Bay Food Co., Filou Bistro, Ossawippi Express, Branch 34 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Maria’s Restaurant, McCabes Eatery and Lounge, Caddyshack’s, the Downtowner Bar and Grill, Tux II, and Zats.
Also on the roster are Mel Brown, former Edward Bear guitarist Danny Marks and Ronnie Douglas, the Sensations, the Dunk Band, Jake and the Fundamentals, the Ken Meyer Quartet, and Johnny Flamingo and the Livingroom Experience, Chris Smart and the Real Deal, MT and the Toasters and the Joy and Jay Trio are also on the roster.
