The Huronia Stallions Varsity Football Team improved its record to 3-0 with a 45-14 victory over the Newmarket Storm.
The Stallions dominated the game from the opening whistle, building a 38-7 lead at halftime.
Quarterback Kyle Graves played an outstanding game, completing nine passes in 14 attempts for 142 yards, along with three touchdown passes. Graves also rushed for a touchdown.
Wide receiver Colin Carswell had two touchdown receptions and slotback Alex Kent also had a touchdown catch.
Tailback Mike Rostance had 50 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Receiver Matt Cross got a chance in the backfield and had 38 yards on eight carries, scoring a touchdown in an impressive debut. Fullback Brett Haenni rushed for 80 yards on six carries and Fullback John McMoran had 50 yards on eight carries.
Linebacker Taylor Shadgett led the defence with 7.5 total tackles. Safety Jordan Binns and linebacker Nate Driscoll each had quarterback sacks.
The first-place Stallions’ next game is on June 13 at 8 p.m. at the Barrie Community Sports Complex against the Toronto Thunder.
