Funeral for Lachlan MacLean will be held Saturday

A funeral was held Saturday for Lachlan MacLean, a pilot killed while flying his ultralight aircraft.

The 47-year-old Anten Mills resident was on a trip to Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Township on Sun, Sept. 21.

He flew out of the Edenvale Aerodrome in Clearview Township at 11:30 a.m., and was reported missing later that afternoon.

After a search, MacLean and his plane were found in the Musquash River, north of Honey Harbour.

MacLean’s funeral was held at Collier Street United Church in Barrie.? He leaves behind wife Patti and daughters Anna and Tira.?
